Pure Raw Juice — Restaurant in Maryland

Let’s be real, this place was never known for its service. I can’t remember ever being a time I would walk in here and the cashier would give a smile or even say hello. But getting an açaí bowl was convenient because I live in the area. But I will never come back here again after my last experience. I can confidently say workers here don’t even do the minimum when it comes to service but seriously expect to be tipped. I’m done with the tip entitlement culture, and will happily save $17 for a large fruit soup from now on. If you want a tip, you have to be giving something extra to the entire experience. The atmosphere here is so uncomfortable I almost feel like I should be getting a discount just for coming. Anyways, highly don’t recommend this place unless you enjoy hostile environments. The young man with a ponytail took 15 minutes to make my traditional bowl when there were no other customers because I didn’t tip him before I received my bowl. Think I’m crazy? Then ask him if he think he expects tips for every order- if he says no, he’s lying. He literally made it a point to tell me how I can tip before my card transaction went through. Don’t even get me started how I paid $1 extra for almond butter and was given a smear....

The piece of acai heaven is located in an unsuspecting, super, old-school shopping center. I was expecting to walk into a run-down healthfood store. I was shocked to see that the interior was spacious, modern, fresh, and beautiful. All the live plants and wood nade me feel healthy, before even eating the food!

We ordered the classic bowl and the almond butter addition with the almond protein bowls. I convinced my parents and grandma to eat here and now I think they're hooked!

3 bowls and the protein balls was about $41. If you don't think about these bowls as meals, the price is shocking. We were satisfied and happy after eating, though!

Parking is tight, service is super slow, and although the restaurant is on one level, it's not handicap accessible. It's better to have someone order ahead, run to the bank or go to the doctor and then have someone run in and grab your food, if you have mobility challenges.

Rude, disrespectful and unsanitary! Always barely filling the bowl! Cutting one banana into 3 then extremely thin slices. A banana is one of the least expensive fruits. The worse out of all of the pure raw locations! This location makes pure raw look bad. I always have to email documentation that I made a purchase. My points are never added to my account. They messed up my order yesterday, no apologies just attitude. No thank you for being a valued customer. Silently puts bowl on table. Rude!! The guy wiping his forehead with the opposite side of his gloves. She’s collecting money with gloves on and handling food. Yet she wants me to throw the other bowl away. I said I wouldn’t patronize this location and haven’t been since May! Today I have regrets and this time I’ll keep driving...
