I go to watch my 9yr old grandson play baseball. I haven't been to this park since 1999 and WOW the park has changed so much and it looks really nice. They have trails for walking or riding bikes. They have a pond and lots of ducks and the baseball fields look amazing, they are maintained by volunteers (parents). They have two large snack bars with all the goodies for watching the kids play ball. There is a play ground, basketball court and picnic benches plenty of grass also. There's a huge amount of space in the park and a trail you can take to go around the entire perimeter. There's basketball courts, baseball fields, a play structure, and lots of grass space for activities. There's also a public bathroom and benches in a picnic area near the entrance. The sand area is overrun with weeds and the playground equipment is rusted. I’m surprised a park like this exists in Torrance. It felt like being in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. There’s also a lot of red fire ants in the sandbox. I can’t think of anything positive to say about it. At first I was excited that the park was empty, but now I understand why. You’re better off taking your kids to literally...
