Sunnyglen is a small park, but quite nice. Most of the park is a big open field with a 0.28 mile walking path running through it, but there is also a playground and 2 basketball half courts. The playground has been updated in the past few years with a new play structure and most of the sand has been replaced with woodchips, with only a small sandbox remaining (a bug upgrade, imo). Sunnyglen does have a covered picnic area and grill, but the concrete slab it sits on is breaking and slanting to one side, so I'd recommend one of the more safe-looking, uncovered tables. The park isn't fancy but nice for what it is, and hopefully the city fixes the picnic...
Read moreA simple course for a nice jog. Nice neighborhood to run in too. The park is practically a round track with a small but helpful basketball court. The playground is nice. The workout equipment laid along the track is metal and a bit old. But perfectly fine to use. For dogs, not so much.
Not really safe for dogs as the cars zip by and there isn't any fences. Plus, coyotes like to run through the park after 9pm. So keep an eye out...
