Meschutt Beach — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

The beach was great, the water was clear and clean and there were no waves so it is great for kids. There were lifeguards on duty. We are not suffolk county residents so we had to pay $18 to come in, which is fine compared to so many of the other beaches in the area that require permits or are very expensive.

The only issue we had with the beach was the food. It was really expensive and probably some of the worst food I've ever had. I wasn't expecting much for beach food, but this was really so far below my expectations. I really don't recommend buying any food here, its very worth it to just bring your own snacks.

Cost $18 to Park but it was an enjoyable visit. They were open bathrooms. The parking lot is small and next to the beach So no having to trrk a mile dragging all your stuff. I would wear pink shoes or Crocs because there are a lot of rocks. But the water is relatively clean and relatively calm which makes it enjoyable for young kids and less stressful for parents. Lots of beautiful rocks and shells. The food was also overpriced and not that great but the french fries were good. And at least they do have food for sale however you can pack and bring a cooler onto the beach. Definitely my most enjoyable beach trip...

If you’re in the Hamptons, or specifically, Hampton Bays, Meschutt Beach should be on your list. This beach sits on Great Peconic Bay. It’s a lovely beach with very, very calm waters.
