Went here to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend I looked at a bunch of rings and the older lady there was making me feel in a rush to pick something out when I repetitively said I was just looking around for now and that I’m not in a rush to buy , she kept insisting I get a Kay card and sign up for credit, eventually I found out by the other girls there that were helpful that they can order this ring I found online on Kay’s website to be shipped to the store, I was excited! They told me that the ring would most likely be in on Monday but will call if it came earlier, the weekend comes by and they called me Friday and left a voice mail telling me the ring came in I was at work and didn’t see it until Saturday afternoon which I was out with my 76 year old grandmother eating lunch and taking care of her after, I called them back and let them know that I got the message and that I was busy today but would love to come in tomorrow to look at it to buy. The one girl said okay awesome and so I was even more excited that it was there… not even minutes later the store manager Ian called me and told me “ hey so we have a potential buyer that is buying the ring online and we’re getting ready to ship it but we can cancel the order if you come in a few hours to buy it.. this is known as the “impending event close” …. Very amateur sales tactic that was very insulting to me when I literally just told them what was going on and I would be there the next day so I drove to Kay’s directly after lunch with my grandmother and told Ian the store manager to his face how I felt I never will do buisness here ever because of him and I felt very insulted… I was going to buy that but I’m going to the nyc diamond district and will find something...
Read moreIf you need help for any reason, Ian is amazing. I won’t buy anywhere else or from anyone except Ian. He always makes you feel like you’re in exactly the right spot and he works so hard to make sure you get exactly what you need. He’s never pushy, and always knows everything about the piece of jewelry you’re wanting. He is honest and tries everything in his power to go above and beyond. I’ve had custom pieces made and also just items picked out at the store and I can say with 100% certainty that Ian will always be my jeweler of choice for anything I need. He has helped me so much over the years! He’s so kind, and professional while making you feel comfortable at the same time. He has become more of a friend when I walk in than just someone to help me or works there. If you want anything or just have questions, Ian will fast become the person you want to go see. 1000% recommend, you won’t be disappointed. The picture includes just two of the pieces I’ve obtained from Ian over my years of working with him. Thank you Ian for helping make this girls...
