Great Wall — Restaurant in Town of Catskill

Make no mistake about it.....This is not the best Chinese food I've ever had. That being said...there is a lot to be said about consistency. We've been using Great Wall as our "Go To" take out Chinese place for 18 years. On a scale of 1 - 10 they are a solid 8.5. If you find something you like there.....every time you order it.....it will be just like the last time you had it. No Surprises. Solid....Consistent and dependable. Extremely friendly and fast service at a fair price. I would suggest you give them a try. It won't blow your socks off.......nor will it disappoint. Reliable...

Great Wall is the best Chinese food in Catskill (sorry Chopstick). Granted I've been eating there for 30 years and am a bit biased but there's nothing on their menu I don't like. My particular favorite of late are the sesame wantons which are perfectly spicy and delicious. Lo meins are all great, chicken and broccoli is my standard go to and the eggrolls are perfect. On the negative side it's time to go back to the full open front of the restaurant guys. That little hallway gets crazy crowded when you're standing there waiting to pay and pick...

Take the wall down! Literally, and figuratively.I can’t speak for all but I’m sick of the nasty dust ridden plywood and plastic walls that are still up in many of these places and great walls is absolutely disgusting! They wanted to change me for hot mustard after spending almost 60 dollars on food that was marginal at best which to me seems pretty ungrateful considering that we kept them in business during Covid. Go get som good food at the Chinese restaurant in town and forget...
