Maybe it was the time of year (we went at the beginning of April), but it wasn't that exciting. This one was an accident. We were actually trying to do the Hudson River Walkway, and the person I was with put the wrong thing in the GPS. Since we were about to head back home to MD, we decided what the heck, give it a try. The view was ok, a little industrial for my liking, some people may enjoy that though. It's directly beside the bridge with a busy flow of traffic (it is a separate Walkway from it, but it does butt up against it), it's very narrow, and I was honestly just uncomfortable with the amount of traffic, the weather, and the wind. Again, some people may not mind it. Myself though, I wasn't impressed, and the amount of time it took us to get there from our location definitely wasn't worth the maybe 15 minutes we spent there. Recommend if you don't mind all of the negatives I posted, but I was disappointed.

Ample parking for Hudson River Skywalk. Hazy and humid during mid-August, beautiful views of the river and Olana site is right in front of you as you walk over the bridge.

Park at the Thomas Cole National Historic Site and walk over here to enjoy the views of the bridge and the Hudson! Also meet Roaming Rip, the cat statue.

I love this region, the bridge and the walkway across the Hudson River. The views are breathtaking and begins to put into perspective why Washington Irving loved this area and how it would spark his creative mind to create...

Foggy morning walk across the bridge. Neat but eerie experience with limited visibility. Had a barge sailing upstream cross under me, just the hum of the diesels in the mist getting my attention at the...
