Vesuvio Pizza. — Restaurant in Town of Catskill

I ordered a Margherita pizza, a chicken-bacon-cheese sandwich, fried dough, and curly fries through DoorDash. Everything was awful.

The fries were fried so hard they were almost inedible, either stale, forgotten in the fryer, or just deliberately overcooked. The chicken cutlet in the sandwich was paper-thin, barely there, and completely flavorless, with no lettuce, tomato, or mayo as described on the menu. The bacon tasted like pre-packaged Oscar Mayer strips, not freshly cooked. The pizza was bland and forgettable.

The fried dough for dessert was overcooked to the point of being rock-hard, clearly not fresh. I understand delivery takes time (mine was about 15–20 minutes), but this wasn’t a “sat too long” problem—it was a “bad from the start” problem.

I don’t understand how this place has good reviews unless people simply don’t know good food. I expected better quality, but what I got was some of the worst takeout I’ve ever had. Whether this was just one bad cook or a reflection of how the restaurant operates, I’ll never be ordering...
