The Crossing is a nice 130-acre recreational park located in Colonie, NY. The park offers nearly 7 miles of walking/hiking/biking paths that are paved. The centerpiece of the park is a scenic pond complete with geysers. Most of the trails are relatively flat and easy. The trails wind through different parts of the park and connect to roads in the surrounding neighborhoods. Trail maps can be found online and the trails are well labeled throughout the park. The park's trails provide a nice escape into nature. The most popular spot in the park is most likely the pond with geysers. Here you will find park benches to sit and enjoy the area. Ducks, geese, and fish can be seen in and around the pond. Near the pond you will find nice buildings and pavilions. The buildings are often used for conferences and are sometimes open to the public. Restrooms can also be found in this area. On Saturdays, the park holds one of the area's largest farmer's markets. Near the back of the park is a swimming pool with a two story waterslide. Overall, the park offers many different activities for everyone. In a local poll this park was voted the best in the area. It is easy to see why when coming here.

The only and the best large community park in Colonie NY, developed on land once owned by the adjacent farm. What I enjoy most about the park is the variety of landscaping. You can check off your miles along a vast loop, sprawled over open space sparsely planted with small trees and shrubs. You can do the same on a smaller loop around a small pond, watching waterfowl such as mallard ducks, native "Canadian" geese, and a great blue heron feeding on small fish along shore. You can stretch a volleyball net or play a mini soccer game on the vast lawns. There are two large playgrounds for little kids, as well as two separate dense forested areas with mature trees. There are four parking areas, and foot access to the Rudy Cicotti Recreation Center. You can also watch the cow herd often grazing on the adjacent farmland. Overall, plenty of scenery to enjoy and plenty to do. Please Like👍 if you found this review helpful!

Update - September 2024: Bathrooms close at 3:30 PM. Update - August 2023: Still a beautiful park. Recently I have noticed the picnic tables in the pavilions area turned on their side with them being chained off. Guess they can't be used willy-nilly anymore. Beautiful park with well maintained trails. Pavilions are good, too. If they aren't rented out for the day, feel free to use them, as I've never had an issue before. If it is rented, they put the chains up around them simply saying they are reserved for that day. Just watch out for the geese who always seem to crossing the road or path somewhere. Always love going here.

I like to visit this park for my kids to play, it has a bigger play area compare to other nearby parks. And lot of activities to do. Park is very clean, there are people who routinely roam around to pick up garbage. You can bring your food inside the park, grill is available too. Exciting place such as hoffman family maze to give kids more fun. A 20-minute drive from Albany city center. There are also parking spaces available and very convenient to whereever spot you want yo stay. People who loves running may also enjoy here. Designated walk way for pedestrian. The park is open til 10pm, if I'm not wrong.
