This is a beautiful park, no disputing that. I must say though that the two men working there today are making many people's visit undesirable. The only shady spot with benches in the courtyard in front of the lake had a sprinkler going so no one could sit on those benches unless they wanted to become soaking wet. May I remind you that a lot of elderly people need to sit in the shade ? Also, there are people with dogs and the dogs need the shade too. There were chairs set up for perhaps a wedding later that day and some people sat there to get out of the sun but one of the men told them they had to move. The wedding wasn't for hours and these were fold up chairs. How sad it is for the disabled people who are not allowed to sit inside your facility. I was told by one of these men it was because they make a mess and HE had to clean up after them. It must be very difficult for him to get off his vehicle that he rides around on all day to pick up a few things left on the floor. God forbid he worked in a movie theater ! He also went on about the mess the " farmers " leave behind which is not true. I wonder if he knows how much these vendors are charged to park their trucks in your lot. I will be calling the town supervisor first thing Monday morning . If nothing changes then I will write an open letter to the Times Union. This is disgraceful behavior and I for one am fed up with it.
