The park itself is very beautiful and serene. But you have to pay a minimum of $20 to park there, and you have to download an app onto your phone to pay it. $20 is a RIDICULOUS amount of money to pay just to sit at a picnic table by the river, if you're even lucky enough to snag one. Parking info seems to be rather missing from the internet, so I had no idea about this ahead of time, and had to go through the whole process of downloading the app, which I didn't want, only to finally learn how expensive it is. I drove an hour to get here, and now I feel like I can't leave my car. Usually metered parking is free on weekends, but there's no indication of that being the case here.
