Las Margaritas — Restaurant in Town of Cornwall

First two times we visited the restaurant we found the food and the service to be average and on par. We enjoy supporting small local restaurants but the third time we visited was very bad.

There was a large party of about 20 ppl having a celebration while we were there. We were ignored for about 30 minutes after receiving margaritas drinks and being provided with chips and salsa. Nobody returned to take our dinner orders and wait staff didn't want to make eye contact.

We then heard some loud grumbling coming from the kitchen in another language that didn't sound good. A few minutes later, I approached the waitress when she was making a drink at the bar and told her we were ready to order. She didn't know how to answer my comment. She then goes to speak to the other waitress and that waitress comes over and responds that we are too busy tonight and are not able to serve us food. We paid for our two drinks and left for another restaurant. Poor customer service from the wait staff and those in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we are not in a rush to return...

VEGETERIAN WARNING:-This is yet ANOTHER restaurant stating they offer "vegetarian options ". NOT!! Had reservations here for the 4th. Luckily I didn't take menu at face value. Rice that comes with "vegetarian " options contains chicken broth. Cheese is NOT vegetarian friendly, unless it is vegan or kosher! Cheese contains RENETT. If your not familiar with this gross enzyme, look it up! Especially inquire what kind of cheese is on your pizza, & parmesan is a no no. There is a great authentic Mexican restaurant in Dobbs Ferry, Tomatillo, that has vegan cheeses. Food is worth the ride!! Disappointed, we had to make last minute dinner plans elsewhere. I absolutely love this Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making it a perfect spot for any occasion. Their sangria is simply the best—refreshing and perfectly balanced, it’s the ideal drink to complement your meal. I always stop in for a sangria!!
