This beach has a much more local vibe than the others around Montauk. Yes the beach is more Rocky than the Oceanside, but it's usually less crowded it has gentler wave action as it's on the Long island sound.

A nice beach with access for vehicles. The water was freezing (we went in May) and the bottom is full of shells and stones so it’s not the best beach for a swim
