From the moment I began emailing with Liz, she was extremely flexible, responsive and accommodating. Wedding invitations were something that I was extremely excited about. Your invitations are one of the first things that your guests see, it’s one of the first moments you have to capture your aesthetic, and it’s a forever keepsake. I had met with two people prior looking at invitations that both my fiancé and I weren’t extremely excited about. However, from the moment we met with Liz, we knew we had to work with her. She really took the time to get to know us, and was very open to the unique designs we had in mind. She immediately came up with multiple solutions that could help us to keep costs down, but were going to capture and complete our vision. Within a very short amount of time after leaving our first meeting, she already had drafts for our review. In no time after that, we had our completed wedding invitations that were more than I could have asked for. Not to mention, they were extremely cost effective based off what we were looking for.
I opted to have Liz complete all the assembly for us, as we had these amazing wax seals (and even got to keep the seal) and twine for enclosure. I couldn’t have asked for a better stress/time saver for me, and I know that each and every single one of my 120 invitations received the time and attention that were necessary. When we needed a few extra invitations because we had some extra folks invited, she rushed to be able to print these for us, and even mailed them to my house.
I would 100% recommend Liz/Graphic Poetry to anyone – you won’t regret it. Anything you have in mind, she will be able to bring it to life for you. Almost all of our guests have sent us comments regarding how beautiful our invitations were. We are continually working with her to create menus, programs and even signs that match our overall wedding theme.
Liz, we can’t...
Read moreWhen I got engaged in September 2019 I quickly jumped feet first into the local bridal show/bridal social pool and was quickly overwhelmed. I had been to several shows and spoken to several vendors when we happened upon Liz’s booth. Her display was gorgeous, she didn’t bombard us with soliciting business like I had experienced a few times, and let her work speak for itself. My mom was particularly smitten with one of her invitations and even though I knew I wanted something completely different I had seen enough to know I could trust Liz with my vision. I had no idea all the options available to me, but at my consultation Liz expertly walked me through and I could not have been happier with the result. I never had anyone’s wedding invitation inspire me to compliment them on it and I was surprised when I started getting text, snaps, and posts about my invitations and how stunning they were. My favorite was a friend saying she felt like she got a letter from the queen! Most shocking were two middle aged “man’s men” that were so moved by them that they texted “baller” and “the attention to detail was very classy”. Liz made us a custom logo for the return address and wax seal inspired by my fiancé’s profession in the golf industry and he was floored. He could not have been less interested in our invitations beforehand and was super proud of them when...
Read moreI found this gorgeous gift shop/ design studio on a gorgeous fall day while strolling through the Village of Hamburg.
I was impressed with the owner and designer, Liz, who was friendly and attentive. She had a nice assortment of locally designed, high end, letterpress greeting cards for sale. They were chic, on gorgeous card stock, mostly blank inside and helped cover the modern reasons to send out a card. Reasons included sending support, loss of a pet and a card for a significant other who isn’t a spouse, among the other standard genres. The prices were reasonable considering how much a card costs these days. Also for sale were small gifts like stationary, special journals and tea towels. I liked that she had pre made wax seals which could be attached to an envelope without the mess of actually having to melt the wax oneself. I find the art of cards, stationary and paper are lost nowadays so I appreciate a shop that focuses on something that is so personal and special!
She explained that she also designs invitations for any occasion, weddings in particular. She has a cute sitting area to meet with clients and had a lot of examples on display to work off of as inspiration. Lots of styles to choose from.
I picked up some cards and will be back again soon!
Pro tip: She also offered a buy 6 get 1 free punch card for their gorgeous selection of...
