The tasting room looked beautiful. You are not able to purchase single glasses in the tasting room and are instead directed to the Oasis for single glass pours. We weren't looking for a full tasting and were hoping to try a glass or two as neither of us were familiar with their wine offerings. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, Oasis was bumping and quite loud with the DJ catering to the bachelorette parties enjoying their day. This meant not being able to talk to the bartender to learn about the wine offerings since on the menu, they are just listed with no descriptions. We ended up ordering a wine slushie and a different drink instead of any wine. The firepits and outside seating areas were nice and came in handy on the chilly afternoon.
The overall atmosphere of Oasis felt more like a club/bar scene (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) than the traditional wineries in the area. I wish we had been able to learn more about their wines without a tasting as it seems like the reviews of the wines are very good. I'd stop by again on my next trip to give it a try and see if Oasis is a little less crowded/noisy.
Maybe they could consider offering single glass pours from the tasting room (with the knowledge that you would need to go outside of there...
Read moreIf there were more than 5 stars to give, I would give them all to this vineyard. Not only are the staff super sweet and professional, but the place and the wine are just phenomenal. The wines they offer here are SO GOOD. The tasting includes 5 wine flavors of your choice and you just literally cannot go wrong with whichever one you choose. All the wines they have there are delicious! They offer snacks (at $1) to go with your tasting and the options are great - you can choose from popcorn, chex mix, cheese-its, etc. The wine slushies are available at the "on the Oasis" location directly across from the main building. They have such nice and lovely staff there as well and such an awesome drink menu besides the wine slushy (try the Fat Cat pink lemonade cocktail!!) Once you're done ordering your drink, you ca. Go can go outside and. Find a seat/bench around the propane numerous propane fire pits they have outside (believe me, it is such an amazing experience with he drink and the warmth of the fire, especially if it's a little chilly outside!) If I could come here every weekend, I totally would. This place is genuinely incredible! Would go here every single time I...
Read moreI was really excited to stop in for the first time with my boyfriend. The wines we tasted were very good, but I was under the impression the tasting would be served all at once in a flight, this wasn’t explained to us. The server hovered around and poured the wines back to back and it felt like we couldn't just sit and enjoy the experience.
It also felt like the service wasn’t consistent across customers. Two other groups (both white) who arrived after us were offered popcorn right away, while we (people of color) weren’t given any popcorn until I asked. At this point, we already had 3 out of the 6 wine tastings. The server seemed surprised when I asked and after that, her attempt at conversation felt forced and not genuine. When she turned around, I noticed her face and smile drop immediately, which made the interaction feel uncomfortable. When we finished, she didn’t say thank you or goodbye, just handed me my change (which she abruptly put on the counter when my hand was out) and walked away.
Whether or not it was intentional, it felt like a microaggression. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won’t...
