Challenge Escape Rooms - Franklin Square — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

This place's escape rooms were some of the worst I've ever done.. We did the psychic room and it was supposed to be really well, fun, kind of dark and spooky based on a story that wasn't even implemented in person... We were told that the puzzles were linear and one clue would lead you to the next puzzle. That was a lie or at least however they had it set up. It didn't happen that way. You would often not have any idea whatsoever what next thing you had to do and then when you did ask for a clue because the game master wasn't watching us. She would always have to ask what was the last puzzle we solved? What was the last thing we opened... At one point we told her that we had already done exactly what she had said. She came into the room and then told us we had to decipher something we had already done to get the answer for a puzzle for a combination lock to the puzzle and we're like we already did that and it went to a safe... And more often than not it just was not great. The room was maybe 9 ft by 9 ft. It was like an old dentist office. Kind of deal. That's how big the room was. It was not well done. The puzzles were not great. The decor was just weird. I would not recommend this...

While the room was fun, it’s really false advertising. We did The Sweet Shop room and the photo on their web site, attached to this review, is NOTHING like the actual room. I wish I would have taken a photo of the actual. But if you are expecting the room to look like the photo, you will be disappointed. It really feels like a half decorated old bedroom that they made to look like a sweet shop, but it doesn’t. Other escape rooms are more immersive with new technology. This is an old school style escape room. It’s all based on unlocking boxes, no hidden rooms or electrical activations. For the price, we were disappointed. Maybe we are used to more modern escape rooms that are immersive, incorporate technology and have multiple rooms, this is not. We were entertained and the employee was nice and friendly but price should have been much lower for this...

Omg this escape room was sooooo much fun!! We had such an amazing time at this location. It was perfect. This is my second room I've ever been to and I must say if you are up for brain teasers nd all that good stuff, this is the place to go. You will surely get your creative juices flowing when it comes time to crack the codes. Its sooo worth it. I got ours on groupon for about 40+ bucks for the two of us. It was myself and my son and he said he had a really great time as well. The room we did was called the sweet shop and it was sooo much fun. he keeps telling me he wants to go back and so going back it will be. On the other hand, the attendant was cool, down to earth.. not over bearing.. but welcoming to say the lease. Anyway, go here and have fun with your friends family by yourself.. who ever haha...
