Town of Hempstead Rath Park — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

I usually come here before 12 with my 7 month old. We don't like to be around too many people due to pandemic. Today we were on the swings around 12:15 when a middle aged man started screaming on his phone to someone at the playground. There were quite a few small children playing while he was screaming. I got out of there fast because I dont want my child to hear that garbage nor do I want to be around that trash. So today I give it one star. Other days I give it 4. I hope that trashy person doesn't return...

It's shaded well and the playground is slightly easier for my almost 2 year old to navigate. My biggest gripe is the fact that this is a TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD Park, but only residents of Franklin Square can use the pool, where every other pool allows all NASSAU COUNTY residents. So are they taking town of Hempstead taxes and only serving there town? That would be extremely corrupt...

Nice local Park in West Hempstead. They have a Pool, Basketball Courts, Handball Courts, Swings and Playground for the little ones. The playground has lots of trees so it's shaded pretty well for those hot days. My family and I loved this park. Very clean as well, with plenty of parking and it stretches out across a few streets to another area that has a full size Baseball...
