Tried to surprise Wife #2 with a peaceful evening walk on Jones Beach to make up for accidentally tagging Wife #3 in a shared Quran quote.
Everything was going fine. The sun was setting, the seagulls were doing tasbeeh, and she was just starting to cool down—sipping on her chai in a reusable bottle like she was on the verge of forgiving me just enough to still post cute beach photos.
Then she asks: “Who’s texting you this late?” I say, “Probably the group chat. Brother Abdullah sends hadith reminders after Maghrib.” She checks my phone and reads: “I see you near tower 6. Come get your hoodie or I’ll throw it in the ocean 😡.” – Wife #3.
Wallahi. Qiyamah-level tension.
She looks at me. “Tower 6?? Hoodies now? You’re just out here giving layers of comfort to women??”
I scramble. “Woh… she’s… a zakat case. Spiritually. I’m just doing sadaqah with consistency.”
Just as she’s about to storm off and call her older cousin who’s a lawyer, the ice cream cart guy passes by playing Surah Rahman on a Bluetooth speaker and waving a mango kulfi.
She stops. Sighs. Says: “Get me that kulfi. And don’t say a word until we reach the car. And maybe not even then.”
We finish the walk in silence. Me, whispering istighfar. Her, chowing down the Kulfi.
Jones Beach came through with mercy, mango, and minimal jail time. Would 100% return. Just stagger wife...

We got lucky and found parking right next to the facilities, but we still had a 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk from the car to the edge of the water. This was our next best option. I'm very impressed with how clean the beach is! It's 6.5 miles of beach and all the trash were at designated trash cans. There was no seaweed at the water and no trash. The beach was crowded as you get closer to the water, but we still got a nice spot a few feet from the water. If you don't want to be in the crowd, you can set camp farther away from the water, or walk further down the beach. The water is cold but trust me you will get used to the water after 5 minutes in the water. We stayed for 3 hours and enjoyed playing in the water a few times and sat in the ocean breeze for a bit.
I totally recommend this beach if you live in NYC. I heard that other beaches within the city is much more crowded and really dirty with trash and cigarette buds everywhere. But this beach is really...

Jones Beach is truly one of the best beaches I've visited in New York. The views are stunning, with beautiful landscapes that make it perfect for relaxing or taking photos.
What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the washrooms—this is the first beach I’ve visited in New York where the facilities were actually clean and well-maintained.
Beyond the scenery, Jones Beach offers a wide range of activities for all ages. You can enjoy swimming in the ocean or the on-site pool, play sports like basketball, volleyball, and tennis, or try out the WildPlay Adventure Course. There's also mini-golf, shuffleboard, and a two-mile boardwalk perfect for a leisurely stroll.
For entertainment, the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater hosts concerts and events throughout the summer, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Overall, Jones Beach combines natural beauty with excellent facilities and a variety of activities, making it a top choice for a beach day...
