Review of Bellmore Memorial Library – Memorial Day 2025 (05/26/25)
Today our group was allowed to use the North Bellmore Public Library’s parking lot with their permission. LICOA staged their members and corvettes there while getting ready to cruise as a group in the parade.
I stopped into the Bellmore Memorial Library after a great morning cruising with the vettes with LICOA members in the Bellmore Memorial Day parade. I’ve passed by this place before, but this was the first time I really got to check it out—and I’m glad I did.
The staff was welcoming, even with the post-parade foot traffic. The library itself is clean, bright, and surprisingly spacious for a neighborhood branch. What really struck me was how connected the library is to the community. There were flyers up for local author talks, art programs (something I’ll definitely be looking into with LICOA), and even displays honoring veterans and local history—very fitting for Memorial Day.
This place isn’t just about books—it’s a true community hub. I’ll be back soon, and I might even see about getting involved with their events or workshops. Definitely a gem in the heart...

I think a no or quiet talking area should be...
Read moreThey closed the library for months for renovations, which inconvenienced a lot of people. Now reopened, it's the same basic library, with the same exact layout, and some minor changes that have nothing to do with why people use the library. What most people who go there care about is access to materials, and a quiet place to study and read. We don't go there for...
