We had just bought an rv to live in full time...when no rv parks were open during winter and I was 7 months pregnant me and my bf literally couldn’t find anything! We were park hopping. But we got lucky with the spot, they only have like 10. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s a very scenic place. We got use to the train honestly and my newborn baby was never phased by it(a bag of chips would wake my baby more than that train). It was just within our maximum budget but it was full hookups+wifi until the water got shut off in the dead winter(we would use the hose to fill up). It’s great for longer stays!!! Ty guys again ❤️ The owners are also very nice! One of them gave me a handmade blanket for my baby.If i ever need to stay again i for sure will.

Please read the reviews. If you have no other option, it can work out. Pluses: it’s on the river. It has hookups. The lady was nice. Challenges: Trains run 25 feet from RVs 10+ times a day and night, plus trains run across the river and they’re surprisingly loud. Sites are very narrow, thus RVs are super close where the awning may not fully open. No picnic table. No shower house, despite website claim. Of the ~12 sites, around half half have a view. It’s $100 cash. There’s a bit of trash and junk strewn about.

Went down to take a look at the old train station and the river. Very Nice, But A lady came out of the station and afterstating my business told me the area was Private Property! Left soon after. Lovely Spot, Lots of History but if your not parking your RV there- You're Not Welcome!

This place is a dump! I hope the owner reads this. The "sweet little old lady" aka Patty, is NOT the owner, She's rude, and is totally running a scam! She's nothing more than an appointed money collecter/tenant. She only accepts cash, changes prices, changes dates, lies to the owner (whom resides in Florida). After she tried changing the prices, deny a payment, I told her I wanted to speak and pay the owner directly. She REFUSED to give it to me, until I proved it in court. The icing on the cake is her drunken nephew, Chip/Lenny, the self appointed "groundkeeper" whom is actually a nobody. Just another tenant. He staggers around or swerves around on his medic alert scooter drunk as a skunk by 3pm everyday. He yells obscenities, follows you like a creepo, threatens people, and damaging tenants private property. He messes around by turning off your water and electric, just because he's a drunken a$$h0l3. Hey Chip, clean up the raw sewage that's running down the driveway, behind the house and 1/2 of the only 12 spaces if you really want to be a groundkeeper.

This place isn't a RV park. It's more like a dozen parking spaces at Walmart . The RV's are shoved in spaces like a can of sardines, with a nice view for maybe 6 spots and noisy trains that sound like they are about to come thru your window. Don't say I...

absolutely a dump heard it's been cleaned out by a flood now glad I left when I did 2 faced management that only cared about herself during a flood and bad maintenance/security chipper and a alcoholic that is also a wifebeater highland falls pd just let's do whatever he wants, not to mention you are camped so close together can't put out your awning shared water hose to fill up your camper most of the year, complaining residents in train house that don't realize people are camping, even had a neighbor running his 70s rv and loud truck flooding my camper with carbon monoxide coming into my unit and when I did my muffler revving my engine to keep my truck running got a complaint worst place ever save your money you Can do 3 months max at croton on the hudson and have a lower monthly rate and camp in style the view was nice but it's also horrible they run off people site seeing I've worked as a rv park manager and with a place like that you could actually do something iconic and bring back the history of the property but instead you decide to run off customers I hope the owner finally realizes he's messed up by now and fixes this peice of history and shame on highland falls for letting him do...

Keep looking. Do not be fooled by the one page website of “premier”. There is nothing premier about this place. Start with a cash only payment - higher than most places...and we are willing to pay for scenery, amenities and some comfort although there is a free WiFi. Followed by the fact that you are parking in a graveled lot with no amenities of even a private picnic table or grill - maybe you can use the picnic table outside the office door. Then add in the fact that this is literally right beside a working railroad with a clanging guard gate. Unless you or your child is a fan of trains, and a fan of no sleep, find another place. We had no less than 7 trains during the night with the clanging guard gate. And these are typically not short trains!! There is nothing to do at the “campground” (parking lot). The owners have tried and keep their outside office area neat and pleasant but seriously there is nothing to do except drift off to sleep...
