Bear Mountain Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Highlands

Okay, I don't normally give five stars (or even write reviews for that matter), but these guys take the cake (pun intended). I subscribed to their monthly granola bar option, and apparently subscribers get a free cookie cake on their birthday, (which I didn't know about, and frankly would have been fine without), but they sent a day late because I never told them it was my birthday and they found out A DAY LATE. They literally sent it as soon as they heard, and were apologizing immensely. UPDATED: My son and I visited this afternoon. We ordered oatmeal cream pies and scones. We were definitely not disappointed. The woman at the counter, the owner/manager, and a man in the shop that I'm guessing is also a manager were delightful. I left with a completely different feeling than I did previously and can't wait to come back for more yummy treats and beautiful smiles.

The bakery items didn't taste fresh. The guy at the counter was a bit rude and seemed bothered that I was there. Price point was good though. I may be back to try a soup or some cookies. They may have just been...

I’ve been to Scotland & England multiple times and my mother & grandmother (who were both born in England) have made scones from scratch — well I have to say that I just had the best scone of my life today here. What a pure treat! Often scones can be very dry especially when not right out of the oven. But not here. I can’t find all the words to describe the true perfection that I experienced today.
