Mine Dock Park is an absolute gem, offering an amazing escape into nature's embrace. As you step into this hidden haven, the tranquility immediately washes over you, making it feel like a world apart from the hustle and bustle. The walking trails are a scenic adventure, weaving through lush greenery and along the water's edge. It's the kind of place where every step brings you closer to serenity, and the views are nothing short of breathtaking. The park's design is a testament to thoughtful planning, providing not just walking paths but also spaces to pause and take in the beauty around you. Whether you're unwinding on a bench, having a picnic, or simply absorbing the peaceful atmosphere, Mine Dock Park invites you to savor the moment. The waterfront vistas are mesmerizing, offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. It's a haven for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone seeking a quiet retreat. What makes Mine Dock Park truly amazing is the sense of connection it fosters with the outdoors. It's not just a park; it's an immersive experience where the beauty of the surroundings becomes a part of your own narrative. If you're looking for a place to recharge, reconnect, and revel in the wonders of nature, Mine Dock Park is an absolute treasure.

Mine Dock Park offers sweeping vistas of the Hudson Highlands inches from the river’s edge. Named after its 19th-century use as a loading dock for ore from inland iron mines. Great place to enjoy the vista, a picnic or launch a kayak. Scenic Hudson Mine Dock Park is owned by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission but managed by the Town of Highlands. Frankly the area needs better maintenance and physical improvements. The Picnic tables are great but hard to sit there under the hot sun. Need more shade trees or covers.

This is a small park and not very crowded. There are beautiful wildflowers planted there. I went there to launch my kayak on the Hudson river. No dock, but the launch was easy. The place smelled very badly like sewage due to the waste water treatment plant in the park. You have to cross a railroad track to get from the parking lot to the water. On the way back there was a long train passing through. It was fun to watch but we did wait 10 minutes to get back to the car.
