Hunter Town Office — Attraction in Town of Hunter

This place has no justice to outsiders and no one should expect any safety here. We travelled with our puppy to this town and our puppy was killed by an unleashed, unvaccinated dog owned by Peter Scheerer. The law requires the dog to be neutered, vaccinated but the local animal control officer Bruce Feml did nothing. We went to the court for judge's decision. The judge required the actions to be done but Bruce Feml and Peter Scheerer still don't execute. We asked the court to mail us the proof of action and the court refused our request. It's almost a year now and nothing is done by them. At the same time, Peter Scheerer promised to pay us for dog purchase fee and vet bill on the day of the incident, which are over $2000. After only $200, he stopped paying and started threatening us. Avoid this place as much as you can. In case of accident, you should not expect any justice...

I love this town. There are multiple large capacity parking lots near trail heads on the top of the mountain. Please park here to avoid getting towed, ticketed, or causing dangerous traffic conditions coming up the mountain road. That is a main highway in and out of town, it is not just for recreation or the view. Our emergency vehicles, deliveries, and residents use this road on a daily basis. This is why it is so important to keep it clear. If you park where no parking signs are posted you cannot be surprised to be ticketed or towed. This is a real community, and while we are happy that so many of you enjoy your stay, please remember this. Our businesses and facilities have no problem thriving while we all respect our town. This town has predatory behavior to fine visitors of Bastion Falls. They claim the Molly Smith parking lot is closed and subject to fines or tow but there are no signs to show as such. You see one sign that says no parking anytime, on the street side, meaning, no parking on the side of street! There were some cones but as you can see, the entrance is not covered with cones and is suggesting of open to in and out. The lot was full with cars. There are no signs in the lot to state that parking was not allowed or that the lot is closed. A $175 fine with no option to contest online, must appear for court summons.
