We stopped by Deja Brew in Tannersville during our visit and it instantly became one of our favorite spots in town. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a true small-mountain-town coffeehouse feel. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic — perfectly pressed, full of flavor, and one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The coffee was excellent too, smooth and rich without being bitter. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it’s the kind of place where you can tell the locals love to hang out. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or just a cup of coffee, Deja Brew is well worth the stop.

Not only do they have the best coffee and pastries in the Hunter/Tannersville area, they also have an incredible natural soaps, hand cream section as well as a gift shop. The owner herself formulates and creates all of her beauty products with natural ingredients like goats milk and tallow. There is a great lunch menu and empanadas on weekends. Kim and her daughter and her run the shop together. Their friendly hospitality really makes me feel at home. There shop is adorable! It’s a must stop when you are on the mountain top.

Quaint and cozy little cafe. The kind of place you go to relax when you're not ready to go home or you just want a good cup of coffee. The owners are really nice. Very pleasant experience. The French bread used for the sandwiches tastes as if baked just before you walked in. They also sell homemade goods. Soaps, candles, lotions, etc. We have to return on our next visit to the area.

We used to really enjoy supporting this family-owned, small business in our community. The first time we ordered breakfast sandwiches, we had a great, tasty breakfast and were excited to try their lunch menu. We were equally impressed by the lunch sandwiches, enjoying unique creations we can't find anywhere else on the mountain. I would even go as far as to describe the sandwiches as gourmet. It was expensive, but worth it! This business was closed for a short amount of time and we truly missed it. Ever since their return, the quality and taste has gone significantly downhill. We were excited to order lunch when they reopened but were disappointed to find the quality of their items, as well are care and attention, had significantly diminished. It just tasted bad as items were sloppily thrown together with decreased quantities and bad tasting ingredients. Today was unfortunately our final straw after ordering breakfast this morning. I asked for an over medium egg and was told they can't cook eggs to any certain request because it would be burnt on their griddle and would make it black. What does this mean? Upon eating, I soon found out what that really meant is that they were using a pre-frozen puck of premade egg and therefore, that is why they couldn't cook it as I'd requested. Look at the community around you and tell me you're unable to use a farm-fresh egg? Our food had one slice of cheese on a 6in ciabatta roll. There was clearly no salt or pepper as ordered. The food was simply subpar. I am disappointed to say that we can no longer support this business after a significant decrease in quality and service post re-opening. Our community would be better off if that building was transformed back into a pharmacy. I feel badly writing this review as I grew up in restaurants and hate to talk negativity but I do want to share my experience in hopes the owners can...

I was coming to tannersville for a snowboarding trip and wanted some good homey coffee and food and BOY did this place deliver...

not only was my mocha latte top tier but this sando that I got was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It had roasted chicken, motz cheese (I substituted it for provolone), homemade tomato pesto aioli, arugula and I don't even know what else but it was AMAZING. I even had the other half the next day heated up and it was still great.

Other Great Things: -They also have homemade baked goods in the spot that looked amazing. -Free Library for folks to take a book or leave one -Great intimate seating area for eating, reading, working or hanging out with folks -Great vibes fr, thank you for the hospitality and great food/drink. -Great location and easy to find

I will certainly be back here...

Truly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. I ordered the ham, egg and cheese w/ bacon and mayonnaise. It wasn’t just a sandwich it was like a small breakfast grinder (I’m from NH) or small sized hero/sub. Everything about it was perfect.

Also, I had my first ever Cafe Bombon which was amazing and inspired my new take on cappuccino.

Kim & Ish do a phenomenal job and are incredibly kind people.

The environment is also perfect for just relaxing or doing work without loud distractions. It’s in a home type coffee / book store atmosphere. The idea of give a book take a book is new to me and I thought it was cool.

It’s day two of me coming here while on vacation and I will be back each day I’m here in the Catskills, I can tell you that.

Thanks...
