Bear and Fox Provisions — Restaurant in Town of Hunter

I visited this place around NYE. I chose this place because it was one of the only places open around January 1st and it did not disappoint! The interior was warm and inviting. There was even an outdoor dining space that had a roaring fire going, which felt nice on such a damp day. I can't say much on the food as I only ordered cookies. However, the hot chocolate I also ordered was DIVINE. I'm giving this place 5 stars and beyond for customer service as the barista working there said I was "dressed like a sorcerer" while I was sporting my Uzbek jacket. That was exactly the vibe I was going for. I felt so seen, haha! If I go through the Catskills again I will definitely stop by here since the overall experience...

This little store is super rad and so cute! The food and coffee is delicious, and they have a great assortment of packaged snacks and beverages. Bear & Fox also has a great selection of quirky and fun items including candles, socks, stickers, cards, and coffee mugs. I bought a book on herbs that I can't put down, and my husband bought me a really cool shoulder bag and the most beautiful, artisan, hand-woven blanket, which I adore. Great coffee, great ambience and even better service. I would visit Bear and Fox just for their antique and rustic looking ambience let alone their aromatic coffee. Limited but interesting contemporary menu and nice seating areas to cater to all types of customers. One can get a book and warm the couch or enjoy hot coffee on a bar stool.
