Don't waste your time. I tried to sell an MPC 5000. I brought it in and when I turned it on, to my surprise, the screen was entirely blue. He tried to offer me $50 dollars for parts, but I wouldn't bite. Basically when I was out the door, he offers me $150 for it. I still wouldn't sell it. A few days later, I decided to bring it back and sell it for the $150 because I really needed the money. I bring it back and as the guy is messing with it, he turns this little knob, and low and behold, all the information comes up on the screen. Boom, it was a simple mistake on my part forgetting to check the contrast so it turns out that the MPC wasn't broken at all! Luckily I saw him do it because he quickly tried to turn it back off so the screen turned blue again. He unplugs it and basically tries to buy it for $150 again and I tell him that it's a working unit and I'm not selling a working unit for parts. I'm not stupid. He gets this attitude and tells me that he doesn't want it. I wasn't even looking for that much money for it and he knows that he could probably flip it for at least $1,000 minimum. He was just mad that I caught him trying to rip me off. I ask him if he's interested in any guitars or anything else I had with me and he says no and walks away. He's a piece of crap scam artist. He'll low ball you so hard if you don't know what you're doing and he probably laughs about it with his buddies about the profit he makes off of poor people. Scum bag. I'll never go back there. He has a dirty aura and his karma is undoubtedly terrible, so, good luck with that. The crazy thing is is that he probably has no qualms about ripping people off that need money the most. He's gross.
It's funny that most of the good reviews are from a "Google User" and most don't even have a description of the experience. It's probably the owner trying to tip the scales in his favor. This place shouldn't be 3.5 out of 5 stars. That's just not truthful. It's a horrible business run by a liar and a cheat and everything valuable he buys is probably sold for a 600% profit. Ugh.
Make sure you know exactly how much the item you're selling is worth and you'll see what a scumbag he is. He probably offers $50 for everything worth anywhere from $500-$10,000. His business is run on huge profits. Just look at his ebay page and look at what he makes on something you sell to him and I guarantee you that he's making a huge profit. He's not interested in making $200 if he can make $1,200 off of your stupidity. Don't listen to anything that he tells you because he's probably lying. He tried buying my MPC for $50 when he knew the highest he would go was $150 for parts. That just proves he's a dirty cheat. Never take his first offer because he'll go higher, he's just trying to squeeze as much money that he can out of...
Read moreCame to offload a gold bar. I have been stacking gold and silver for 5 years. I’m not disgruntled because he didn’t want to pay me the real value of my gold; I’m disgruntled because he tried to speak to me as if I am some ignorant and naïve customer trying to sell metal so he could pay me less than the value. I was spoken to as if I was a punk who had no skin in the game. His FIRST comment to me was “people think gold in this form increases value.” Immediately tries to devalue my Gold….. Full Stop. He wanted to pay me “less fiat money for real currency”. I called him out. His exact words were “Then this conversation is over”. The only reason I came here is because my LCS is overloaded. This place is also too cheap to invest in an XRF gun/machine. That should have been the first red flag. So apparently they must scratch every piece of metal that comes in. The fact of the matter is I don’t think he had the funds to purchases ounces fairly. He probably just purchases and pawns jewelry……that he must scratch...
Read moreTO RESPOND TO THE OWNER COMMENT THAT YOU JUST HAD TO MAKE IT AINT A PROMO SCHEM, ITS HOW I FEEL AND THE TRUTH, clearly looking at the "real user feedback" and not the one by just a "google user" I'm not the only one that feels the same. Literally in your response to one of these bad reviews you indirectly call the customer a thief and a scumb bag. Ive been around and shopped at many different shops. I have a list in mind when I think of Rochester pawn shops and these guys, west ridge traders and pawn king on Dewey are all in the too three worst. You will be treated so poorly and like you some type of loser who had to pawn there stuff for whatever reason they feel they should judge you on. Then whatever you think your item is worth expect to get about 1/4 that if you go to any of these guys. Best shop in town BY FAR IS Greece gold and tech, its just a few miles down the road from these guys. Let them know that Sam sent you. I'm telling you don't waste your time anywhere else then...
