We first visited here in 2019 as a place that was close to where we were driving from and for an easy way to step out onto Lake Ontario. Weather was warmer on that trip so there were more people walking on the pier, on the beach and in the water - whether swimming, wading or boating under sail or power. Nice white sand. Clean water. There are trails to walk down, too. We enjoyed lunch and freshly made ice cream at a nice spot alongside the parking lot. (Don's Original in my reviews) I have pictures on GM from that visit but under Mayer's Marina as the main channel is on the other side of the pier.

(see my videos) The wind became strong and cold enough to shorten our time on the pier as we were all enjoying the experience, taking photos and loving the sound of the wind, the lake and the birds. One wave hit hard enough to drench me which made us all laugh.

Read moreA great place to watch the sunset or just enjoy the beautiful views. Pier is fairly short with a lighthouse and large rocks to stand on at the end. Their was quite a bit of sand pushed up into the walkway near the beginning of the pier where it goes by the small sand beach. The bridge over the water is a seasonal swing bridge that swings out of the way during spring and summer to allow boat traffic in and...
