Islip Grange Park — Attraction in Town of Islip

The collection of buildings were not all originally here. Like Bethpage Restoration Village they were saved and relocated here. It is a kind of museum you may not usually find anywhere else. Bethpage however, is more to my liking where you will find people in period garb performing daily tasks. I have not experienced this at Islip Grange. My experience was to look at the exterior of the buildings. Yeah, it's a thrill a minute. Not really. This place could be so much more. There should be docents to interpret Long Island history for visitors...

Visited here for the Apple Festival. Pretty cool. Lots of small businesses displaying/selling their goods. I would've bought something from everyone, but I was blocked by my Husbae, my biggest Op! 😅😅😅 Had a good time, but I was so upset there were no Apple Cider Donuts and NO HOT APPLE CIDER. I mean, come on, it was an APPLE FESTIVAL! Still had a good time getting...

Great spot for all sorts of activites. In the winter has a hill big enough for younger kids... during nice weather there is a park w/ swings, tennis/Pickleball and handball walls. During summer Town of Islip runs a great camp with an Awesome Director and Asst Director. They also have Farmers Market and fairs during the Fall. Great...
