North Shore Farms — Attraction in Town of Islip

i went there everyday 6 days a week cause i worked close. everytime i went there the manager would be standing upfront and when i walked in he would follow me around the store. at first i thought it was just me but after days and days the same thing i have noticed he was doing it. i let it slide but after months of the same thing i finally was fed up and i will never go back into the store. Also one time ordering a sandwich and employee called out and he asked someone to stay later the employee said no he can not. in front of me the manager said if you dont stay you will be fired the employee said he was unable to stay and he has been working since 8am at this time it was 3pm and he was about to leave he was unable to stay untill 10pm the manager said you are fired leave the store. then called the cops on the employee because he could not work untill 10pm. the manager told the cops that the employee was acting reckless and threating him which was not true at all. i will never go back into that store again. i will drive out of my way to get...

Great Store. Alot of Aisle/canned and packaged items are more expensive than other stores so you'll probably want to get packaged items elsewhere. Meats, fish and poultry are more expensive but unbelievably fresh. Great parking and location. Is where the Waldbaums used to be.

Update: 6-17-22 This store is my go-to for walking into a store and wanting to just buy, prepare cook and enjoy all the healthy foods. Yup. Definitely worth the trip.

Non-organic & organic produce with good produce prices. Lately however (at time of this update writing (6/17/22) produce/vegetables have been ah-hh just so-so w some just too over ripe to going bad)

STILL MY GO-TO STORE E FOR FRESH...

Went there this Saturday for the first time. this supermarket is clean and well managed. However, may be because of the actual location of the store, it is kinda hidden from direct view of passing traffics and it is in a separate plaza in Hauppauge, the store was more than half empty. I also noticed the prices of the produce are not that attractive. No live lobsters. The fish and shrimps on ice are not like fresh catch kind fresh. I bought three single slices of cakes. The Tiramisu cake was the nicest. I really like the store has many tasting tables for cheeses, dipping sauces and olive oils. I bought less than $30 worth of goods there. But will I shop there on regular basis? Probably not. In comparison, I do prefer John's...
