While not the most optimum vantage points in the area, the views are gorgeous and worth taking a look! - - - - - - - - - - - Great place for a hike! I visited Berry Pond Preserve on 5.30.18 - The pond itself is very beautiful and peaceful; I always enjoy checking out a new place. Saw a pileated woodpecker on the hike in and a turkey vulture at the pond!

This place is a hidden treasure. No one was around during our time here. We did not make it to the pond as we had three smaller children and got quite turned around a couple times but nonetheless enjoyed being here. So quiet and peaceful. Better place to hike with kids than prospect mountain...

I was shocked to find LOGGING taking place on the blue trail today. The heavy tractor they're using has torn up the trail so bad that it's nearly impassable in some places. No idea how long this will be going on, but for now, I wouldn't recommend going much further than...
