Valu Home Centers — Attraction in Town of Niagara

Every single time I've ever walked into the Valu Home Center, in Niagara Falls, to do some shopping, there have always been attentive employees, greeting me with a smile. As I walk past the checkout area, someone always offers to help me find whatever it is that I'm needing. The associates at this store are knowledgeable and friendly. I don't know if they are all trained in every department, but I DO know I've never experienced had to wait to be helped (while the only employee in a specific department takes their break, or can't be located, or happens to have a long line of customers ahead of me to assist, while 10 employees stand around chatting) The employees here seem to genuinely care about customer service. I love that Valu isn't so huge and corporate that they still VALUE the customer. I will always purchase what I need from this particular store, from Valu, if it's a product they have available. I had a water line break on our pedestal sink just after midnight. Home Depot opened at 6 am. giant store but left empty handed. So arrived at Valu, Porter Rd. at 8 am. A Valu staff genius offered to assist me. In less than ten minutes I was out the door. My purchase installed so easily, no leaking. Valu is our go to store and today reminded me why. At the Porter Rd, NF store this happened. Very helpful. Excellent service. First a male employee gave me a hint to keep a bird bath from being knocked over by filling it with sand. 2nd, he and a female employee helped split a bag of sand which was already opened, and too heavy for us older folks to pick up. Then the same young lady asked the mgr for a discount on the open bag of sand and then she accompanied us out to our car to help us unload. Wow, ...
