Frontenac Park — Attraction in Town of Springport

Frontenac is a nice little park. They have a boat Launch area near by. A electric car charger & Restrooms. In the summer the Library puts on a free program at the gazebo here for kids. The town also has movies in the park for kids once a month in the summer . They had a professional fishing tournament held here this past season as well. Several different built-in grills available for you to be able to use. My son loves the playground. They have a merry go , ,slide, ropes criss crossed for kids to climb,swings, large bouncing teater totter. The lake is close by to be able to walk by. It's pretty nice along the shore line, except for all the geese feces. Overall it's a nice park. If you follow union springs library on social media. They post when the kids activities take place...

Bring the whole family and the outdoor games have a BBQ or picnic. They have baseball , batting nets to practice, 2 basketball courts 1 updated, a nice renovated play ground good for all ages , small section of beach fairly clean from bigger rocks etc. Outdoor bathrooms , grab the fishing rods and hit the banks or bring the boat and utilize the new updated boat ramps ($5 launch fee non resident of area) permit required if resident can obtain in office on site. Newly installed boat wash to help keep our waters clean from all local and out of state boats . They host bass masters occasionally. They do have a boat launch. Not for free any more BUT they don't ask for very much either. We have a cannew and about 4 years I do believe it was $5 or 10.00. I can't remember. We rented a small pavilion for $25.00 we cleaned everything very well. A few days later we got back all of our money not half of it like some other parks do. Nice playground and swimming area for the kids. Life guards are usually friendly. This is a free park to come to. Just to relax and have a picnic. Sure Fine Groshery store and a Pizza Shop plus an Oriantal Restaurant are all in walking distance from the park. Please do come on down bring a blanket and have some fun.
