I had a really upsetting and disappointing experience here. While I was bending down to talk to my nephew, a set of kayak oars that were leaned up against a pillar fell. One of them hit me hard on the head. I was visibly hurt, in pain, and clearly shaken, but not one staff member offered to help. No one checked if I was okay, offered an apology, or brought ice. We had to ask multiple times before anyone even acknowledged the situation.
When I later saw that the staff put the oars back, leaning against the pillar from where they originally fell and hit me from, I politely suggested that maybe the oars should be stored more safely to prevent someone else from getting hurt. Instead of understanding, I was met with attitude and sarcasm. I wasn’t looking for special treatment, just basic human decency and a little accountability.
Accidents happen, but the lack of care, empathy, and professionalism from the staff made the whole experience feel much worse than it needed to be. I hope management takes this seriously because safety and how you treat people when something goes...
Read moreGreat spot for kayaking. I love coming here, always makes for a great … and sunburned time so I would definitely recommend a cloudy day if you so can help it, or just liberally apply sunscreen.
Love exploring Greenwood lake and all the nice houses on the water. I wish there were more waves to finesse but it’s a lake after all right so I don’t know what I’m expecting but it’s always a good time nonetheless. I enjoy going as fast as possible and racing the boats, I always lose but they are worthy attempts. Great exercise to say the least
All the staff are great and very helpful. Parking so far has not been an issue, I haven’t had to park on the gravel yet. I’ve only been during the weekday, as there is a $10 entry fee Friday to Sunday.
Would highly recommend checking this place out and am looking forward to the next time I can come out and do some...
Read moreIt was a cool place. Personally, I can't swim and I'm not that cool with water I can stand in, so why go? Well it was a family trip and I wasn't about to get shown up by my wife, lol. Keys got locked in the car and it was crazy, but this place still made it a fun trip. Everyone loved the trip more than me, but I still give it 5 stars. The kayaks, although to me scary, were cool looking and all in good condition. The life jackets fit properly even though I strapped mine on so tight I could barely breathe. The staff was nice and the girl working there let us use her phone to call AAA. Well, I'd love to show pics, but I was too terrified to hold anything other than the paddle. So I left my phone on the car. Go here and you'll have fun. The lake is beautiful and can also rent a surfboard. The kind you stand on and row...
