Great area to explore along the Ausable river. The Flume is why I was there and it didnt disappoint. In a span of less than 10 minutes, the water levels due to a storm somewhere upstream, rose an inch or two and totally changed the aspect and danger level of the flume, so use caution if youre down on the rocks while visiting, you dont wanna be a high...

Terrific place, me me and my family have been coming here since in opened. Those bridges really help, though still wish you'd clear the forest. We stumbled upon this trail on our drive back to Lake Placid and decided to stop for a short hike. We didn’t walk far, but didn’t have to in order to find some beautiful views. I definitely recommend if you’re driving through and looking for nice views and photo opportunities.

Quick stop to admire the flume - you do have to climb down and the rocks are slippery but it doesn't cost anything (unlike the place down the road) and there's a nice little path and trails to follow is so inclined.
