My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the Chateau on the River, and it was a beautiful, fantastic experience. We worked with Amber and Lana, who both worked really hard to make sure our event went off without a hitch. The entire staff was SO friendly and helpful. Our guests were raving about how perfect the place looked and how it was a beautiful space for a wedding. I will be telling everyone I know to look into the Chateau for a wedding venue! It was a perfect experience from start to finish. We picked Kosch Catering's platinum package, which was affordable but still felt swanky, what with the included premium open bar, two entrees + a pasta, salad, potatoes, veggies, other assorted side dishes, a late night snack, appetizers during cocktail hour, linens, chair covers, and coordinating chair sashes. We definitely got the most bang for our buck here.
*Something worth sharing is that Uber/Lyft will NOT come pick you up from the Chateau past a certain time! (I think it is 10:00.) Since this gorgeous venue is inside a public park that closes, some of our guests who didn't want to drive home had to walk to the front of the park to get picked up by Uber. That isn't the Chateau's fault, of course, but it is worth considering!

First our tasting event was canceled one week prior to the event, next our event coordinator left the company and we were assigned someone new, this was not communicated to us until trying to contact the previous coordinator in an attempt to finalize some details. It was a constant voice mail and email waiting game dealing with them. Finally we were told just 30 days prior to our wedding that our event would not be able to go through and no dates would be available the remainder of the year. Faced with this tough decision we requested a refund being as no services had been rendered and they would not be able to host our wedding and on such short notices a change of venue or date simply was not possible or acceptable. I received back a four sentence reply saying “ all Saturday’s in October are booked. There may be a Sunday open. At this time we are extremely busy getting ready to open for events following appropriate mandates. Our sales person will contact you as soon as she can.” Pam Stiles
