Elizabeth Park — Attraction in Trenton

This is a beautiful free park right off the water. Great for walking your dog, walking with a friend, sharing lunch and watching the boats.

Elizabeth Park has looking been a staple in the Southeast Michigan area (especially downriver). The river walk, marina, grounds, and event building make the park a great place to visit or host an event. There is a skate park and a couple playgrounds for the kids, with pony rides during the warmer months. There are picnic areas with buildings that require permits so that you can reserve a space. The park is popular for photography sessions (as a photographer, I've used the locale often). There is a building that used to provide concessions but I don't know if it still does...however, there are two I've cream shops before the park entrance.

Access: The road way around the park is one way and loops around so the entrance is also the exit, so traffic is minimal and slow. Most parking is off-street with a small lot before the exit. There is also an entrance to a parking area with a picnic area located off of West Jefferson that also has a bridge to provide pedestrians access...

Clean, safe family fun! My kids and I have a great time everytime we come whether it be playing on the park or taking a walk through the woods. Beautiful and scenic and we love seeing the park animals! Whether it's the deer in the woods or the horses or the pigs,goats and ducks in the miniature petting zoo or the wild turkeys and beautiful peacocks in the gated area in the woods. Cars don't usually obey the slow 15mph speed limit or watch where the hell they are going especially with all the kids running around,but u do get the jackasses that like to walk slowly in the road when they know,hear and see a car near or behind them trying to pass. There are restrooms here which is great having kids with small bladders and porter potties for the men who don't care like my hubby. All in all a great and beautiful and...
