I actually needed to use this place several times last year, and each time I noticed that it was a little less positive, but eventually, I got a new phone and was a little more careful, so I didn't need to come back for awhile, but alas I did it again - broke my screen. My memory was kind about them and I was greeted by a nice young man there, but of course they did not have my part so with a $100/50% deposit, I was promised 3 days maximum (I told him I needed it quickly) and waited for their call. On the 4th day, I went into the store and was greeted by Derek, the manager, who arrogantly tried to throw it all back on me, that I should have know that this part was going to be a 7 day wait. Already longer than I had hoped, and really did not like the way he was talking to me, I simply asked him if I could cancel this order, and he then quickly/unequivocally told me NO - that it was a No Refund Deposit. I explained that Time was of the Essence and past the promised date, but he wasn't even sympathetic - more on the rude side. I had no real choice, because I needed this done and was not going to give him $100 of my personal money for free, so I left. I finally received my awaited telephone call (on the 7th or 8th day) that I can come in to complete my work. I came in the next day. He did a fine enough job, but again did not even offer an apology or any form of comfort for this terrible experience (this really did impact my business). I was (and still) do not want any compensation or concession), but a little respect would have been nice. Over the time I have known about this company (in Trenton and Taylor), I have been responsible for thousands of dollars in their revenue (from myself and several recommendations), so something said would have been nice. . The Best Part: Derek returned my telephone with a nice plastic cover on it (indicating brand new glass, I guess), and I tried to keep it on there as long as possible, but when it did come off, there was a chip on the edge of the glass. Honestly, I do not know if the chip was there when I received it (and I did not think to check the phone thoroughly then), so I cannot ask him for anything. Funny thing though, the next day, I dropped it (yes, again - hard) and cracked the glass (worse this time) and needed an immediate fix. I could not bring myself to go back to Derek but on the way to their Taylor location, I found another different store in Taylor, and Guess What: They were able to Fix it in less than 2 hours - And were Cheaper, too!! I will be giving 5 stars+ on their...
Read moreI had to get my front and back screen replaced on my note ultra. Cost me $370. When I called the first time, I was told $200 for the fix. When I went in a few days later to get it fixed, I was told $329, and it would take two hours. When I went in with money to get it fixed, a different person told me he would be done in an hour and was done before that time. Then I was told I had a 30-day warranty and that I needed to come back if ANYTHING happened to the screen in that time. When I got my phone back, I noticed the back looked as if it was starting to separate from the glue, and there was dried glue all over it that I had to clean off myself. When my husband came home, I showed him what I thought looked wrong, and he agreed that we would need to take it back. Knowing I had 30 day I put it off for 3 because I have kids and a busy life. However, the phone cracked from the left side of the screen where the front had been replaced. At the time this happened the shop was closed so we went in the next morning. I was told that cracks aren't covered under warranty and when I explained that nothing had happened and to look where the crack came from he continued to tell me there was nothing he could do and that he could "try" to fix the back. (This was not the man that fixed my phone) I spent nearly $400 to have my phone screen repaired. The phone didn't drop. After I asked for someone higher up to speak with, he told me he was the highest. So I asked if he was the owner and if not I wanted to file a complaint with the owner and conviently enough the worker told me that I couldn't do that. He's the only one who takes and responds to complaints. It is less than a week from having it fixed and costing as much as it did. I am livid with this service. No one was professional enough to begin with anyway. They didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. They couldn't properly relay information, so don't get scammed like me. I was told that "phones don't break on their own." Correct, but if the inexperienced person putting my phone screen on did it wrong, then It would. It could crack from pressure. Then, throw in the fact that there was no one of actual ownership that could be reached about how poorly their employees are running (ruining) the company. Big no from me and I'm currently looking into what I can do about being scammed as that's EXACTLY what this company did and as I can see continues to do from...
Read moreIf your phone is broken, I would not recommend going to this place. The back of my phone and camera lens glass was shattered, so I brought it in for them to fix it. The repair price was something over $250+ which I thought was pretty fair at the time. A week later, I came to pick up the phone when it was ready and still noticed a lot of issues. My vibrate function no longer worked and my camera quality was extremely foggy and unusable. The volume control was also acting strange. I decided to bring it back in and told them about the anomalies that did not exist before repair with the exception of the camera issue, as that could have been caused by the lens shattering (Which, I would've expected them to point out to me and offer to repair for an extra price). The repairman responds "Sorry, you did not purchase repair insurance, so anything that happened is not covered.". The mentioned "insurance" was never offered at the beginning, and had I known that they would possibly break components during repair and NOT test them after completion, I would have never come here. I asked about the camera as well, they said "We can take it back and try to clean it off, but it will most likely break in the process", so I just took my phone...
