A delightful museum space, with an interesting basement gallery complete with brick archways and alcoves to highlight the space beyond lighting. We visited while the quilting exhibit from the Baptist church was on its last days of showing. I have also visited a dear artist friend's solo exhibit opening in said basement gallery . The curator was so informative in the highlights she provided as to materials & meaning behind some of the works. The next wall hung sculpture exhibit is on my to do list. I believe the center is an under utilized cultural experience that many more should avail themselves to. I understand with some notice group tours are encouraged and accommodated. There are also student classes across the street and they are just a block off the historic main square with its beautiful park and architectural gems, including an authentic drugstore icecream fountain/parlor.

Although they were in between exhibits, this is a very nice art museum/gallery. The ground floor of the historic post office is so perfect for art with the high ceilings and the flood of natural light from the windows. The basement is equally charming with brick and details of the past that you just don't see today. I love this building. The art is equally lovely and they are interactive with some displays. When my grand daughter visits next we will definitely be going here.

Awesome building and history Recent show of Vincent Buwalda I would describe as amazing post-modern surrealism.

We were passing through Alabama and read about this place so popped in to see what they had. The two artists exhibitions were well displayed and wonderful to see. They also have a permanent Picasso on display. There is no charge which was another plus but we made sure to make a donation before we left. The man at the desk was very friendly and willing to talk to us not only about the Center but also about the town of Troy. If in the area,...
