Tryon Fine Arts Center — Attraction in Tryon

Condescending staff member. I enrolled my son here once because he wanted to learn how to play the guitar but decided not to re-enroll him when on one occasion I asked about one of their programs and the staff member I spoke to, spoke to me in an accusatory manor, started questioning why my step-son had missed a Saturday meeting that had been set-up. My husband's was unaware of the scheduled event. We found out when we were already on our way to Florida. His ex had failed to inform him of this scheduled event and I was questioned about it at music practice. As a step-mother I have no control over what the schedule for my step kids is. My husband and his ex decide that. I also felt that because I am a person a minority the staff member felt like she could talk to me the way she did and in the condescending tone she did. I highly doubt she would have spoken to a white person like that and given them that look of disdain. At the moment when this happened I was taken aback by the way this person spoke to me and...

Just saw Travis LeDoyt as young Elvis. His voice is spot on - closed my eyes a few times and swear it was exactly Elvis. He even has his accent. His look is very similar and Travis has a fun personality - enjoyed playing with the audience. He also does a convincing Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash. Very entertaining, thoroughly enjoyed his performance and well worth seeing. ...

One of the things that make Tryon such a great place to live. Beautiful indoor theater and music venue with meeting and exhibit rooms. Peterman Pavilion was added next door for outdoor shows. Lots of well-know performers throughout the year with subscription and single event tickets. Also an entertaining film series several times a year. Can't say enough about...
