Whoever manages this park is horrible at their job and obviously very angry and controlling. Not someone who should be in this position. They’ve posted extremely negative and hostile signs all over. This park used to have a wonderful fun and open energy, now it’s very aggressive and hostile. “Leash up or leave” is bannered as soon as you pull into the driveway. These signs do not reflect well on whoever wrote and allowed them to be put up. This is toxic and full of hate. They’ve made the energy at this park extremely negative and hostile. This is not the way to run a community park. Whoever has done this has obviously done it out of anger and hate rather than diplomacy and love for the community. They are doing nothing but spreading anger and aggression. “nature is not to your dog park” plastered to shun people and their pets for being outdoors where we ALL belong and come from and need more of!! This is extremely negative energy and is not creating a healthy atmosphere. The other disturbing sign has a puppy with a javelina that says “ Spoiler alert - the javelina wins”. The intention behind it is very disturbing and not made with good intentions, it’s to keep people with dogs out and insinuating they will be attacked whether on or off leash. The city of Tucson is better than this and I am surprised they have someone like this even still working there or that they allowed it. This is not the place for them. I am shocked they would even allow and or want to be represented in this way. It looks VERY poorly on them. Tucson and its parks are for all and all should be welcome. These signs need to be removed. This is not okay. Nature is for everyone and is everywhere and we need more of it. We should never be denied our basic born rights. We’re all born from nature and an intrinsic part of it. The only ones causing trouble are grumpy people like this who have nothing better going on in their lives than to hyper focus on putting others down by spreading aggression. How about you love or leave. This is not the place for you. Do better.

Best kept secret at the north end of Tucson. Beautiful on south shore of the Rialito with a stunningly close panorama of the Catalina Mountains. I love my sunsets there and enjoying watching the informal gathering of dogs and their hoomans who gather around 5 pm. Great circle around walkways, tables, nature all around. All ages and just a great free outing.

Great park with open grassy areas surrounded by a paved sidewalk loop. Perfect for young kids riding bikes and scooters. Beautiful Mountain Views. The Rillito River bike loop runs close to the park, so we enjoyed the bike ride on the way here. The larger natural desert area has trails that lead to hidden gardens and a cool rock maze, “the labyrinth“.

This is always my destination when walking on the loop with my dog. It's always pretty clean and never crazy busy during the afternoon on weekdays.

If you do choose to come here with your dog, please be sure to keep them leashed as this is not a dog park. ESPECIALLY if you are walking through the less developed trail areas. I walk through this every afternoon during the week and typically see coyotes at least once a week.

Brandi Fenton up the road has fenced in dog parks--please take your pets there if you want them to...

Gorgeous natural park for walking, birding ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ wildlife and horse rider sightings. Ammenities include parking lot, access to loop river walk, restrooms, grassy field with picnic ramadas, play area, walking trails, Stone Labyrinth, Catalina and Thimble Peak mountain views. Thanks to many local residents and city workers who keep the park clean. Dogs MUST be leashed and picked up after is enforced! Pick up bags provided at entrances. Dog free run is available nearby at Brandi...
