October 2023 - This is such an amazing park. Really stunning in terms of architecture and the all natural materials used. The people in this region of Oklahoma who live nearby should utilize it all the time. Visiting friends and relatives should also always make a point of returning.

Looking at the people sitting by an outdoor water display, at a table by a pond, with children enjoying the adventure playground, or inside the main Williams Lodge by a waiting fireplace for cooler temps, or doing homework on a laptop in a room to themselves, I could tell these were regulars who made it a point to enjoy their particular space often. Artistic, modern, rustic, at one with nature it's a remarkable place.

The Gathering is described as Tulsa's Riverside Park since it runs along the Arkansas River. Half of the 66.5 acre park is squared off for sporting activities from sports courts to skate parks and BMX tracks and their Discovery Lab, while closer to the main lodge, there is a boathouse for those who want to go out on the water in a kayak or on a pedal boat. There is an overlook here and vista space for events. State of the art playground for kids that goes way beyond what people perceive as standard recreational equipment with its unique designs and clever concepts. Picnic lawns, gardens, forests and even a beach are all here in their own private settings.

Food is available. One sit-down eatery (closed during our visit) and one convenience store type room with drinks, (including a small selection of beer and wine), sandwiches, popcorn, locally made fresh ice cream with dozens of flavors and destination merchandise.
