Oren Dunn City Museum — Attraction in Tupelo

This museum would've actually gotten 4-5 stars if they hadn't actually locked me in today. Yes, I said LOCKED ME IN!!! I'm not from Tupelo & this is my 1st time visiting so I decided I wanted to visited this museum earlier today & while i was walking around recording & taking pictures and finally make it back to the front door at 5:02pm and i realized the door were locked & to my surprise the gate was locked as well, so I pretty much panicked for a second and then tried to call the museum (but of course No Answer) & then tried calling parks & recreation that was directly across from it and of course their closed too.. so guess what I did?!?! I jumped the gate in my maxi shirt (Yes I did) and actually made it over safely without tearing anything or even hurting myself but I said all that to say I was quite upset that they didn't even check around the outside & make sure people are gone before they decide to lock everything up. I probably should've maybe called the police but I was still panicking & I just felt like i had to get out. I stumbled across this little gem when I was looking for a place to walk my dog. The park next to it was lovely, but the museum caught my curiosity. I was warmly welcomed and invited to take my time, although it was close to closing. I spent a fascinating hour learning about the area from prehistory to modern day. The inside has very good information about Tupelo. Enjoyed reading about the history of Tupelo. Not sure why the rock exhibits to the point that some of the cases holding rocks are blocking the actual history boards. On the outside they could put info plack's up that describe what each old piece of farm equipment did. Otherwise, what am...
