Paper Moon Stationery and Art Supply — Attraction in Turlock

I first found this store when my daughter and I saw their booth at the Turlock farmer's market. The booth had a great array of stickers and bookmarks and other adorable items. I loved the booth so much that I made a point to visit the store as soon as I was able. The store was AMAZING (the farmer's market booth was just the tip of the iceberg)! The owners have picked out a wonderful assortment of art supplies, stickers, stationary, washi tape, etc...Everywhere I looked I saw something that would make a good gift, inspired creativity, or was just too cute to pass up. I left with watercolors, Studio Ghibli folders, washi tape, and art books...some for me and some to give as gifts. I cannot wait to visit again! I am also hoping to take one or more of the classes they offer...

Prices are too high, when I can buy similar products for cheaper. Not enough staff to check out and take questions. When it's busy I can't even ask about the products. That makes me want to leave to just go get stuff that I already know at michaels. They have a child working the counter.... "labor laws?" Everytime there's an event it's almost impossible to get to the door. "Fire hazard?" Are they smoking in the back, because everytime I go in it smells like stale cigarettes. What's up with the cheap made papermoon merch, they're already charging me an arm and a leg for art supplies. Might as well go to the flea market. I hope this business has the success...

Paper Moon found me on Instagram late last night, targeting me. As a stationary enthusiast, they reached the right person. My sister and I planned to go the next day. When I lived in Seattle, I frequented stationary stores in Seattle (Kinokuniya)and Portland (check out Little Otsu) so I can assure you we are beyond blessed to have this gem in our area. The store is gorgeous with plenty of room to meander. They do indeed have a wealth of Japanese stationary, stickers that are super-unique, and the staff is genuinely kind, friendly, & helpful. If it sounds like I’m gushing, I am! I will be back regularly and plan on giving a lot of gifts...
