House of Random — Restaurant in Turlock

I didn’t think the ice cream would taste good because of the liquid nitrogen, but it was surprisingly good. Exactly what you would expect from an ice cream store. I got a scoop of ice cream inside a bowl of cotton candy, with chocolate and caramel drizzle, and sprinkles. I didn’t think chocolate and cotton candy would be good together, but they mixed surprisingly well.

Also the bathrooms are clean and well-stocked with adequate paper towels, toilet paper, and febreze. The decor inside the store was nice, too.

Some of the reviews complained about noise and wait times. The music was a bit on the louder side, but it wasn’t so loud that you’d have to shout to be heard. The wait was a little longer than most ice cream places, but that’s probably because of the liquid nitrogen. It’s easy to pass the time by watching them...

New to me but not new!! They have been here for almost a year. Their differentiation ( their "Random") is the nitrogen cooled ice cream. Very ubique and fun looking decor and pretty attentive staff. Let's not forget their delicious and most excellent ice cream!!

In addition to "random" ice cream flavors like Pina Colada and Sea Salted Caramel, they also sell traditional Persian ice creams like Akbar Mashti a unique pestachio emblazoned rose water infused ice cream; Haveej - carrots ice cream; Sheer Moz - milk and bananas and also Talebi - cantaloupe ice cream!!

You can't really go wrong here. If you like cold stone, give this a try. Location is right behind the old...

We went in after having dinner nearby and I am so glad we did. Their ice cream was so amazingly delicious. The flavors were very rich, and flavorful. The cookie dough ice cream tasted fresh and not too firm. The chocolate chips were the perfect size and gave a good crunch. The coffee milkshake was thick and had flecks of coffee beans, but wasn't bitter. The waffle cone tasted just like a waffle. It wasn't super crunchy like I was expecting but it paired well with the ice cream. The managers were super friendly and took the time to explain their ice cream making process. I highly recommend supporting this small business. This is a cool little ice cream shop and fun...
