Secluded bay a short hike from the road, maybe 150 meters. It's opposite the Trunk Bay beach.

We were here in mid August with no cruise ships in St Thomas at the time, and had this small beach to ourselves all afternoon. Trunk Bay beach parking was full.

The water was great for snorkeling, saw lots of fish and several sting rays. I saw five little rays all together near the rocks at the east point.

Downside was the heavy mat of sargassum on the beach. Some ants, but not bad. Bring deet mosquito repellent.

You can find a bit of shade from the trees and bushes...

Jumbie is one of those beautifully simple beaches where there isn't anything particularly exciting or surprising, and that's just fine - there doesn't need to be. It's a nice little spot with excellent views of the horizon, great swimming, plenty of shade if you want it, and very few nuisance bugs (i.e. you're not constantly being bitten while you're trying to relax). When we went, it wasn't very crowded, but that might just be the time of year...
