An excellent dog park, lacking only fresh water nearby. (There is a stream a short walk away which may serve the purpose, perhaps, and apparently provides swimming for dogs on hot days.) The large-dog park is built on a hill, with a fenced stand of trees in the middle of the slope. This provides shade for owners—there are benches near the fence—and "something to run around" for the occasional group chase or individual frenzied run. The small-dog area is above the large-dog run: I haven't looked closely at its features. All the facilities are surrounded by a substantial and well-maintained chain-link fence. There are two entrances to the large-dog area, each having an entry area between two heavy gates. The small-dog area has the same arrangement, but may only have one entrance. There is plenty of parking, and the main entrance for each area is just off the parking lot. The far side of the lot touches the township's trail system, providing interesting cool-down walks, and another trail runs just across the street from the park entrance, should the nearer ones become...
Read moreI just started coming here a month ago and we’ve only been here a few times. This place is awful! Every time we’ve been here, there’s been at least one fight. Especially in the large dog section. It is too big and too many dogs unconditionally with bad energy. Just today there was two dogs that tried biting my dog (she’s 30 pounds so technically should be in the big dog section but I tend to keep her in the small dog part). About 20 minutes later the same two dogs that tried attacking my dog attacked 2 other dogs. One of them left the park bloody! The owners refuse to accept responsibility that their dog is at fault or vicious. Also, people don’t clean up after their dogs. Especially in the small dog section there is always poop everywhere. This place is awful,...
Read moreI’ve used the park about three times. It’s a very nice location with access to the walking trails. When it’s hot and humid, as it was early today, you could choke from the stench in the wood chips. It seems to be tended infrequently and I didn’t see a water station. I do like the entry section, that’s a great idea. This morning after I exited and we were cooling in the shade someone showed up with two small dogs. She let one into the entry way and said “go potty”. She went back to carry the other, older dog and they went into the main section She took him up to the top and put him there to do his business, walked back for a baggie, bagged the duties, and left with the dogs. sometimes a dog has to go, but I’m pretty sure I don’t want to go back to this canine...
