J Veridian at Upper Dublin — Local services in Upper Dublin Township

Been meaning to leave feedback for awhile now. Here is my take on this apartment complex.

For the price you pay to live here, it's a lot and I would hope things improve here. The apartments are nice and spacious. The main building is nice. The Gym and Pool are very very small but nice to have. I love the working hubs, and the package room (although it is always left unlocked). It's in a great location and convenient to a lot of areas!

There's one review (may have been written by staff) stating that they were told when the pool would open at X date and they see a cleaning crew here often. That isn't true. They had no idea when the pool would open. When it finally did, the Summer was 80% over and you are only allowed to go from 2pm - 7pm. I've never lived at an apartment place specifying a time to use the pool. It's usually at your leisure. So this was a bit weird and an annoyance. Also, the 2 other buildings were delayed in opening as well.

I don't see a cleaning crew often, I think just one time before corporate arrived I saw a bunch of people walking around trying to get things done. It would be nice if the upkeep stayed consistent, as there are unfortunately people here who leave trash around inside and outside and the floors in the elevator are usually pretty filthy.

The stairwells need a lot of work still, I'm not sure if anyone will ever complete them? You can see the wood underneath the stairs unfinished and when you get to the bottom of each stairwell, it's just not appealing to the eye and kind of like a dirty alleyway in an old building. Hopefully they clean it up and finish it.

Landscaping needs better upkeep as well. It's nice, but again it's not consistent and not sure how often those guys are coming out.

Again, for the price you pay to live here you would think everything would be in better order. I hope they improve the building upkeep and finish the buildings and all the loose ends completely, as some of us have been here for a long time already. Other than those items above, it's a great place...just needs a lot of...

We had a very unfortunate experience with management here and ultimately decided against living at this apartment complex. We were told at signing that the complex was scheduled to be done by mid July. At one point I followed up end of May regarding something for the security checks, and I was told over the phone by the property manager's assistant that the official lease dates would be closer to June 30th. When we checked in closer to mid July, we were explicitly told by the property manager that he would change our lease to Aug 17th. After we followed up 12 days later and my partner had made arrangements to end his previous lease based on us being told our new lease would reflect this move-in date, the property manager not only had no recollection of the previous e-mail, but also said that the lease date was the same as prior, meaning they never followed up on changing the original lease date. I also followed up with the manager to pick up my refund check for our apartment application and coordinated a time to stop by. When I arrived, none of the employees could tell me where he was. I got the check after 30 minutes of being told to "sit and wait." We did not feel great committing to a place where staff does not communicate with one another or inaccurately communicates to residents. If we had just been told from the very beginning that there was a chance the building might not be available until August or September, that would have at least...

I've been here for a few months so I can provide honest feedback:

1. Apartments are modern and spacious
2. Amenities are pretty decent
3. A lot of parking on-site

Cons:

1. The building is very filthy and dirty. I've lived here for months and have never heard anyone vacuum the hallway carpets. If you look at the elevator floors and the areas before you get on (on both sides), they're sticky, there' s a ton of dirt marks and it's just disgusting. If you're going to pay a premium, note they do not take care of any other part of the building besides the amenity area (and this is sometimes only).
2. Trash room smells on the 1st floor. I feel terrible for the residents that are by the trash room. It smells AWFUL almost all week in that area.
3. Pool hasn't been open since the other amenities opened. Such a waste of money, in my opinion, to pay for this as part of rent when no one can use it.
4. Eddie is the only one who knows what's going on and how to answer every single question. I can tell he's doing his best but his staff is not up to par.. they never know any responses to questions residents have. Brittany is one of the most unfriendly leasing agents I’ve ever encountered.
5. Building is made out of only WOOD. No concrete on any floor.. this could become a bigger issue as the building ages.
