This is an excellent park for picnicking, birdwatching, and hiking. The PA side has river views, historic buildings, the Washington Crossing site of course, and a large field to walk through. Access to the Delaware canal is also provided. A short walk across the bridge is the New Jersey side of the park, which features a more wooded trail system including the Continental Lane trail on which Washington is believed to have marched during the Revolutionary War.
