His knowledge of their sustainably sourced materials was unmatched, and he took the time to guide me through every option, sharing the backstory of each piece—like the barnwood that came from a 19th-century New York farm. We went to several "high-end" furniture stores and saw pieces that are mass produced and, while nice, had little character. Then we went to American Reclaimed and had a discussion about our room and what we were looking for in a coffee and end table. We saw tons of unique, beautiful options. We were able to customize everything from size, to color of legs on the table to the stain and, most amazingly, the color of the resin which we had match our couch.
