Short story - Terrible support. Very bad at responding to emails or calls or keeping appointments. They're only interested in selling the product and do not really care what happens afterwards.
When I researched swingsets I looked for quality and warranty. At one point I had talked to Harry, the boss, about a comparable swing set and he pointed out that the other swingset was double beamed which is weaker than the single beam that he sold which could take up to 500lbs (approx 200 on each swing). Another thing was that the wood from the other company was chemically treated. I was also told at their store location that if anything ever went wrong with the product they would immediately take care of it
I had purchased the swingset with my daughter's bday in mind which was about a month away. When I made the purchase someone would call me to schedule the installation before the bday. Ten days before the bday, I still hadn't heard from the company. I called them and they said they were having scheduling issues. I said told them if it couldn't be installed on time, then to cancel my order because it wouldn't be necessary. Short story - they installed it on before the bday.
Within a month of the swingset being installed, the boards on the climbing wall starting splitting and the we noticed the swingset itself was swaying when someone (way under 200lbs) was on the swings. I emailed the company and sent pictures and a video. Initially they said that the splitting is normal. I told them to respond back that they are taking responsibility for any accidents that occur due to the 'normal' split. At that point I was told Harry, would have to be consulted. I had thought I was emailing with Harry all along but it was just another one of their sales rep. They never sign their names on the emails and their responses are very brusque.
Harry got in contact several days later and asked for additional videos. And several days later said someone would be out to repair the swingset 'this week'. Well, 'this week' came and went without a call or any update. The way this is going I'll have to take them to court to honor what...

Read moreBergen County Swing Sets is awesome. A few years ago we purchased a set from them for my parents house. We dealt primarily with Jess and she was great. She took the time to explain all the different sets and options. Then once we made our decision, the order was placed, the set was installed and my kids were swinging in no time. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and my landscaper hit the older swing set at my house and broke the legs on one side. I called Bergen County Swing Sets (even though I'm not sure this original set was even purchased from them) and I spoke to Deb and explained my situation. Deb asked me to send her some photos so they could see the damage. Her husband Harry then reached out to me and said they would make every effort to fix the set without having to purchase a whole new one (as long as it would safe for the kids). Safety was his primary concern so he sent one of his installers to my house to assess the situation. They made their recommendations and then within few days they were back and fixing the swing set. That afternoon my kids were swinging away again. I was very happy the set could be fixed and I only had to pay a fraction of what a whole new swing set would have cost.
