-Pharmacy closed without warning, left patients high and dry. Irresponsible, unprofessional, and dangerous.-
I get a script every 2 weeks for 6 years like clockwork. Usually, I have some hassle with this CVS involving calling to make sure it hasn't been set aside or ignored altogether. Thats usually the process, but at least I can get my medication.
Today - during normal business hours, I found that according to the OTP AI the pharmacy was closed. When I attempted to find more, I was simply hung on without being able to get a human in the loop. So I leave work and drive to the CVS to find out whats going on.
'Staffing issues' was the excuse. Allgedly, staffing issues that sprang out of nowhere impeding the management from letting patients know of the situation.
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH
Systemic staffing issues do not suddenly spring up. If filling schedules is so difficult that closing the pharmacy is the only viable option, issues within the staffing pipeline have been going on sufficiently long that patients could have been notified.
Instead, to preserve what pathetic remnants of their public perception remains, they simply to NO ONE and let them find out when we were coming in expecting our medication.
Some of us have medicines that are location locked and cannot be transfered, as such I am now going to be at least 24hrs. Without a medication I take regularly and that is beyond unacceptable.
Avoid this place like the plague, I know I certainly will be.
ADDENDUM: Tried to resolve with corporate, no avail. Re-Assert my prior phase, AVOID THIS PLACE AND THEIR...
Read moreI never write reviews but this needs to be addressed and brought to the attention of all those planning on using them in the vicinity. This CVS should get 0 stars if I could do so. The pharmacy in this location should be permanently shut down due its incompetence and negligence of its staff.. I recently had to have an antibiotic prescription filled for my sick toddler. The doctor sent it directly to the pharmacy at 2 pm. When I called 2 hours later to check on the status of prescription, the pharmacy was closed . Apparently it closed at 2pm as a result of understaffing when this location is open until 6 and left their phones on so that prescriptions could still go through - even though there was no one there to fill it. I had to then scramble to get hold of the district manager so that she could "return" my prescription so that another pharmacy could fill it. When I called the next day to speak to the pharmacist she told me that this is an ongoing issue with the store and they are trying to "Fix" it. Is this a joke. This isn't a laundromat!! This is a pharmacy and responsible for lives. Please...
Read moreThe pharmacy is chronically behind with orders. This past month I called two days before I was to run out of my medication, and the automated system said that the prescription was "scheduled for refill but not ready yet." Two days later I called in the evening and a pharmacy worker said it still wasn't done (I had only one pill remaining at this point), but that she could have it ready in 30 minutes. I told her I'd be there in an hour. One hour later I went through the drive through, waited for other cars, only to be told it still wasn't ready. I pointed out that I talked with someone an hour ago and they said they'd have it ready. The tech said, "I know but my colleague has left for the evening and I'm the only one here." The next morning I went again to pick it up and the staff said while the system showed it was filled, they were having trouble finding it. The tech went through many bags before finding mine. Staff seems terribly overworked and location is clearly understaffed. I imagine it's awful to work there. I will be going back...
